Cada um destes seis mede uma lei famosa num corpo que não é o corpo em que ela foi feita, e nenhum deles costuma aparecer quando a lei é citada.

  • Bravo et al., 1993 · Lei de Fitts

    Repetiram a Lei de Fitts em seis adultos com paralisia cerebral e seis sem. No grupo sem, a lei valeu. No grupo com, não valeu para a maioria. É a única medição de Fitts fora do corpo típico que encontrei, e ela tem trinta anos.

  • Apicella et al., 2014 · Efeito da posse

    Foram medir o efeito da posse entre os Hadza, caçadores-coletores da Tanzânia. Nos grupos isolados o efeito não apareceu; nos que convivem com turistas, apareceu. O que parecia propriedade da mente humana acompanha a exposição ao mercado.

  • Sharif et al., 2022 · Efeito da usabilidade estética

    Perguntaram a dez usuários de leitor de tela o que torna uma sonificação agradável. Nas médias, o som que mais agradou não foi o que ficou mais claro, mas a diferença não passou no teste estatístico, e os próprios autores dizem isso. Fica como indício de que a pergunta do efeito da usabilidade estética faz sentido numa interface sem imagem, e de que ninguém a respondeu ainda.

  • Choi; Nisbett; Norenzayan, 1999 · Erro fundamental de atribuição

    Compararam o erro fundamental de atribuição entre culturas e acharam menos erro em culturas coletivistas, com uma ressalva de método que o próprio artigo faz, e que quase nunca é citada junto.

  • Chen, 2013 · Desconto temporal

    Mediu se falar uma língua que marca o futuro gramaticalmente muda o quanto a pessoa poupa. É o achado mais sedutor deste site, e o próprio autor publicou depois os limites dele.

  • Mani et al., 2013 · Teoria da carga cognitiva

    Testaram os mesmos agricultores indianos antes e depois da colheita e acharam diferença de desempenho em teste cognitivo. Os autores calibram o conjunto dos efeitos em cerca de treze pontos de QI, e dizem que o efeito de campo é três quartos do de laboratório. Não mudou o cérebro, mudou a conta bancária. A carga cognitiva tem um componente que não está na tela.

De onde vem a forma deste site

Este site existe porque o Laws of UX existe. Jon Yablonski resolveu, ali, o problema que eu tinha: como pegar conceito de psicologia e entregá-lo a quem projeta, uma ideia por página, sem diluir e sem exigir que a pessoa já soubesse do que se trata. A régua deste trabalho é a régua dele: um conceito por vez, uma resposta curta logo na abertura e a fonte primária no rodapé. Aqui a tradução para o design vem depois do mecanismo e do corpo que a lei presume, porque ninguém devia aplicar uma lei antes de saber o quanto ela foi medida e em quem.

O que passa por essa régua aqui é outra coisa: o recorte é neurocientífico e a bibliografia é própria. A dívida é de forma, e é a maior que este trabalho tem.
